About Us – Our Staff

Rev. Rosalie Norman-McNaney
Interim Pastor

Rev. Rosalie Norman-McNaney is the former Associate Pastor for Spiritual Formation at First Baptist Church in Pottstown, Pennsylvania where her ministry and training
supported the congregation in strengthening their relationship with God, both individually and corporately as a faith community.

She is the former Director of the American Baptist Churches Homes and Hospitals and Caring Ministries, where she was responsible for working with 135 faith-based ministries serving children and youth at risk, senior adults and individuals with special needs. While serving on the national staff, she worked with numerous congregations throughout the United States and Puerto Rico in national initiatives such as New Life 2010, America for Christ, One Great Hour of Sharing and other mission efforts.

She is also the former director of Special Needs Ministries for The American Baptist Churches of Massachusetts where she assisted over 260 congregations in welcoming and including persons with special needs in daily church life.

She has over 25 years of experience in directing and administering regional and statewide Early Childhood and Special Education programs both in New York City and in Massachusetts.

Rosalie has a Master of Divinity degree from The Andover Newton Theological School and a Master’s degree from Harvard University, School of Education. She is married to James E. McNaney, who is a supportive partner in ministry with her. Rosalie and Jim enjoy traveling and visiting their 5 children, 11 grandchildren and 1 great grand child living in New England, New York City and the Chicago area.

Martha Buxton
Secretary since 1998

Martha serves as the receptionist in the church office as well as the secretary to the pastor. She prepares the weekly bulletin, monthly newsletter and other publications. While a member of another Baptist church, she occasionally attends the service at Calvary. Prior to coming to Calvary, she was the secretary of the Pawtuxet Baptist Church.

Dorothy Yoreo
Organist

Dorothy Yoreo is the organist and choir director at Calvary.  She has taught piano and served as organist/choir director in churches since 1965. Prior to coming to Calvary, she was the organist at the Baptist Church in Warren,  Rhode Island.  She has also been the organist at People’s Baptist Church in Cranston.

She has a degree in music from Hartt College in Hartford, Connecticut.  Her major was in Piano Pedagogy and she minored in Pipe Organ.  She lives in Barrington.

 

Christine Archambault

Christine Archambault is the Director of Youth Ministry at Calvary. She ministers with youth in grades 7-12. The goals of our youth ministry are to provide a Christian environment that supports and encourages our youth to share their ideas, emotions and needs so that they can develop a faithful Christian life and their leadership ability.

Christine is a junior at Rhode Island College, majoring in Nursing.  She worked as a counselor at Camp Canonicus in the summer of 2007 and has been a counselor in a YMCA day camp.

Children age 4 - 6th grade are in the service for the first twenty minutes. Sunday School Classes are held from about 10:20 to 11:15AM from September to June. A special time for the children is included in the worship service.

Junior and Senior High Youth and two adult classes 11:30AM- 12:15PM September to June.

Children’s activities are held from 11:30AM- 12:15PM
