NATIONAL TRUST LENDS SUPPORT TO CALVARY BAPTIST CHURCH

Calvary Celebrates 100 year Anniversary of Church Building
Calvary Baptist Church will be celebrating the 100th Anniversary of its historic building on Sunday, February 11, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. The guest preacher will be the Rev. John E. Holt, executive director of the Rhode Island Red Cross. Special Music will be provided by the musical group, Ekklesia. A member of the group, Cheryl Albright, will be singing a solo. February 19, 2006, PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Calvary Baptist Church launched a Spiritual Growth Campaign called "Forty Days of Community" at the 10:00 a.m. worship service on Sunday, February 19. The purpose of the campaign is to deepen the sense of community among the members and increase the church's service to the community around the church.

CONGRESSMAN JIM LANGEVIN VISITS CALVARY
January 7, 2006, PROVIDENCE, R.I. U.S. Representative Jim Langevin (D-RI), from Rhode Islands Second Congressional District (which includes South Providence), came to Calvary Baptist Church on January 7 for the filming of a special program that will be viewed on The Learning Channel (TLC) sometime during 2006. It is currently being titled "Super Humans" and will feature the stories of individuals who have overcome disabilities to reach high levels of achievement.

Children age 4 - 6th grade are in the service for the first twenty minutes. Sunday School Classes are held from about 10:20 to 11:15AM from September to June. A special time for the children is included in the worship service.
Junior and Senior High Youth and two adult classes 11:30AM- 12:15PM September to June.
Childrens activities are held from 11:30AM- 12:15PM
